These indexable insert router bits are built for surfacing and facing work — flattening spoilboards, levelling timber slabs and epoxy river tables, and cleaning up large flat areas on your CNC. The wide cutting diameter clears more material per pass than a standard end mill, so big jobs go faster and finish smoother.
The real advantage is the replaceable carbide insert. Instead of throwing out a whole dull cutter, you simply rotate the insert to a fresh edge or drop in a new one — you're back to a factory-sharp cut in seconds, for a fraction of the cost of a new tool. One body lasts for years; only the cheap inserts are consumable.
Precision-ground carbide inserts leave a clean, tear-free surface across hardwood, softwood, MDF, plywood and cured epoxy, with the larger diameters ideal for slab flattening and spoilboard resurfacing.
