A single spoon flute (O flute) bit has one cutting edge with a large, polished chip gullet. In plastics that means each chip is cut cleanly and thrown clear before it can melt and re-weld to the wall, and in aluminium it means the chip has somewhere to go instead of packing the flute. CARBiTOOL grind these in Australia from solid carbide, and they are the cost-effective choice for acrylic, polycarbonate, PVC, HDPE and aluminium sheet on a CNC router.
