Plastics melt before they cut if the chip cannot get away. Every bit here is chosen for chip evacuation: single flutes with a big polished gullet, high helix spirals, and sharp uncoated or DLC edges.

1 flute up cut for plastics is the workhorse for acrylic, polycarbonate, HDPE, PVC and ABS, with the 1 flute DLC for hard plastics and longer life.

Run them fast: a chip that is too small turns to heat. If the edge is gummy, feed harder or drop the RPM, and keep the cutter sharp, a dull bit melts plastic instantly.
